I am going to start adding one day a week right now of power walking 2 miles the goal is 15:00 once that becomes comfortable I will work on getting 4 miles at 1 hour and then eventually 5 miles in an hour. I think once I get the 2 miles at 30 fairly strong I will work on power walking the climbs at Hixon no running just power walk repeats.. this can add two days to my weekly running. and prepare me more for winter power hiking as well.
You are inspiring, Richard! I need to get myself in shape. Oh boy...I've been very lazy these past couple of years. Easy to blame it on the kids!! No time for me! I will use you as inspiration!!
ReplyDeleteCarrie, it is easier to be lazy :) I am glad to be your motivation. I am a firm believer that my last lupus flare would have been even worse had my body not been so strong going into it. It is not a matter of if I will flare hard again rather when, so I want to get myself as physically strong as possible again to fight another day.
